Welcome to

VAL DI FASSA

DESTINATION INFO:

The valley of Val Di Fassa is located in Italy, specifically in the heart of the eastern Dolomites, which is also part of the Unesco World Natural Heritage. It is surrounded by the impressive giants of the Dolomites: The Rosengarten, the Vajolet Towers, the Sella Group, Langkofel and the famous Marmolada, otherwise known as the queen of the Dolomites.

Val Di Fassa is made up of 7 different resorts in one valley and amongst the most sought-after ones are Canazei, Campitello and Moena – the capital of the Fassa valley.

APRES SKI:

The après ski scene in Val Di Fassa is a perfect mixture of Italian and Austrian culture.

As there are many resorts in close proximity to each other, the après options are far from limited!

Whilst in the area of Pozza Di Fassa, a visit to Pizzeria Le Giare will definitely not disappoint. What differentiates this establishment compared to other pizzerias is that the owners are committed to using top quality, organic ingredients and they have developed a selection of dishes that cater to the needs of people with food intolerances by using  gluten-free ingredients. The menu is regularly updated, and the flavors portrait local Val Di Fassa traditions combined with classic Italian cuisine.

In the center of Canazei, you will find El Pael restaurant. Offering a menu based on fresh products and high-quality meats, the dishes alternate depending on the season. The highlight of this restaurant is that the main raw materials such as the oil, butter, cheese, and milk are purchased locally from Trentino.

For a more upscale experience don’t hesitate to visit El Filo restaurant. Generating a warm, hospitable Ladino atmosphere, and serving high-quality regional cuisine always with creativity and class in mind.

If you are looking for a place to unwind and enjoy a drink after a long day on the slopes, then the Cliff bar in Canazei, is the place for you! Enjoy live music sets and quality cocktails from early afternoon until midnight.

Val Di Fassa Ski Terrain – Beginners

Val Di Fassa is the perfect place for ski novices as there are many excellent nursery slopes amongst the different towns, so the advantage is that they never get too crowded. There are over 30 easy ski slopes and once those are mastered, you may continue on to the red runs. For the more confident beginners, we recommend taking the Belvedere gondola to visit Pecol where you may find wider runs.

Val Di Fassa Ski Terrain – Intermediate

Keeping in consideration that more than half of the piste trails are red, Val Di Fassa is the perfect place for intermediate skiers. For the skiers who are in a transitional phase, we recommend sticking to the local runs which definitely do not lack adrenaline. The braver and more confident skiers, should take advantage of the fact that Val Di Fassa is linked to the Sella Ronda Ski area, thus offering more than 1200km of varied slopes, to perfect their technique.

Val Di Fassa Ski Terrain – Experts

Although the local mountains of Val Di Fassa only offer about 3 black runs for the expert skier, there is direct access to the Sella Ronda circuit, so there is plenty to experience, nonetheless. We recommend visiting what is considered to be one of the regions toughest runs, the 3km long Piste Ciampac which has a 658m vertical drop.

Madonna Di Campiglio - Snowboarders

Madonna Di Campiglio is often referred to as a snowboarder’s paradise. Featuring two snowparks, one located in the Groste area in Campiglio and the other in Pinzolo, snowboarders of all levels will definitely not be disappointed. Firstly, the Ursus snowpark, with more than 50.000m2 of terrain with specifically suited facilities for all kinds of jumps and tricks, it is no wonder why it is considered to be one of Europe’s finest snowboarding parks. Alternatively, the Ursus mini park in the Pradalago area, caters to the needs of beginners as you will find easier features and snowboarding schools. In the neighboring Pinzolo, the Brenta Park awaits snowboard enthusiasts with many features and structures such as modules, jumps and pipes.
